“I remember being overwhelmed by the crowds in Florence, [Italy], one trip and deciding to leave a day early,” recalled Mr. Buffington. “I emailed Christina [O’Toole], and she shortened our Florence hotel stay — without charge — moved our rental car up by a day and got us into our next hotel a day earlier than planned — invaluable. Just try to buy a rail ticket from Como to Venice on your own or find a nice but not overpriced hotel in Vienna,” challenged Mr. Buffington. “Sure, Rick Steves has suggestions, but Christina [O’Toole] has come up with super places that all seem to give us a better room than what we’ve paid for.”

Mr. Buffington

We have been clients of Christina O’Toole of Avenue Two Travel for many years and have had too many great experiences with her to recount them all.  Christina’s help and advice are invaluable in booking air travel, finding just the right hotel or resort and in ensuring the best experience. When things go wrong (e.g. flight delays or cancelled plans), Christina is always quick to respond and uses her professional skills and connections to make necessary adjustments. Although many people make their own travel arrangements online, we have found that there is no substitute for the calm, competent and experienced service that Christina delivers whether for a quick overnight business trip or a lengthy international vacation.

We recommend her highly to all of our friends, many of whom are also satisfied clients.

About Me:

From a very young age, I was fascinated by geography & maps.  At the age of 9, my 4th grade teacher challenged everyone for extra credit to learn every country and capital in the world.  This set the stage.  In 1989, I purchased International Travel Service, an agency I operated for 12 years (1989-2001).  My first trip to Europe was in 1990 with my Father to his birthplace, Village Brajcino, Macedonia the Former Yugoslavia, now Northern Macedonia.  An emotional travel memory with my father, I will forever hold deep in my heart.  My upbringing and family entrepreneurial spirit had inspired me to follow my dreams, travel the world and help others fulfill their dreams.

European Travel

With my deep destination knowledge of Europe, curating one-of-a-kind trips has been my specialty. Travel is personal and Luxury Travel does not always mean the most expensive suite at the Four Seasons. Developing an intimate relationship with my clients enables me to create and design travel adventures that are truly unique and life-changing. For over 30 years, I have cultivated and developed close partnerships with Luxury Hotel General Managers and Top Destination Specilists all over the world that act as an extension to my expert planning services. From a chauffeur-driven car exploring the beautiful villages of Provence, or driving the dramatic coastline of the French Rivera to a scenic helicopter tour of the Cliffs of Moher, each journey will be seamless from start to finish.

Food & Wine Culinary Adventures

I cannot imagine any trip without Food & Wine.  Conviviality is the cornerstone to any food & wine adventure.  A cooking class with a Chef Kevin Dundon in Ireland, or imagine a champagne toast with Dominique Loiseau in her tranquil gardens in Saulieu, or visit the plots of the Romanee-Conti vineyard in Burgundy to learn why some of the most expensive wines come from this region.   Cultivating relationships with prominent industry partners has allowed me to create once in a lifetime experiences.

Theatre Trips

My love for theatre & dance also occurred a very young age taking dance classes at Miller School Dance.  Organizing theatre trips to New York City for Broadway debuts to new musical openings for An American in Paris at Theatre du Chatelet in 2015 for the World Premiere, London’s Dominion Theatre and Theatre Orb Shibuya in Tokyo.  Imagine an opportunity to dine with The Gershwin Family to hear how the 1951 movie “An American in Paris” with Pittsburgh native Gene Kelly became a musical.  Through my extensive volunteer work with theater arts organizations like the Pittsburgh CLO has allowed me to create theatre experiences that could never be imagined without this involvement.

Spa & Wellness Vacations

The time is now to transform your life and jump start change to a healthier lifestyle.  Awaken your senses to experience a path to well-being connecting mind & body with a desert retreat in Tucson at Canyon Ranch or an active cycling trip with DuVine in the Hudson Valley of New York, hiking the Italian Riviera and picturesque fishing villages of Cinque Terre, walking the Valley of the Temples in Sicily or experience the geothermal seawater waters of The Retreat at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland.  For soul seekers looking for solitude or spirituality, consider a yoga retreat to the birthplace of yoga in Rishikesh, India or a wellness & holistic trip in Switzerland where well-being is inspired by nature. Sun-seekers looking for a retreat overlooking blue waters and dramatic landscapes will be captivated by Six Senses Spa & Wellness Resorts around the world to develop your own personalized wellness path.  Let me know when you are ready to boost your longevity with a wellness vacation to promote a healthy body & mind.
