Spain Opens for Travelers July 1 – Why a Luxury Villa Should be in Your Future
Spain is opening their borders for international travelers on July 1 and this presents a wonderful opportunity for your family vacation. Understandably, travelers will be looking for ways to ensure safety, cleanliness, and safe distances. To guarantee a safe reopening, the Spanish Secretary of State for Tourism and the Ministry of Health have prepared guidelines with measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 across hotels, villas, restaurants, spas, museums, and more. If you have never considered a luxury vacation rental before, now may be the time.
You may be asking, “What is a villa?” and “what is the difference between luxury villa rentals and luxury home rentals?” To start, there is no difference between the two. A villa tends to be a luxury one-family home/estate situated on a large amount of land with privacy and oftentimes, a pool. In essence, villas are mansions for rent in beautiful destinations.
Travelers flock to luxury villas because unlike most hotels, they offer the space to spread out and have your own privacy, but also the space to commune as a family or group. Many villas can be rented unstaffed, as if it’s your own private luxury beach house, or fully staffed and serviced. Chefs preparing meals and packing picnics, housekeepers to clean and tidy up, or even tennis instructors, can be included in most villa rentals.
There is also the added bonus of favorable rates. Most villas with multiple rooms with end up having a lesser per person cost than the average 5-star hotel. Plus, when you add in the exclusive amenities like a private pools or gaming courts, you quickly recognize the value you’re getting for your money.
The allure of villa rentals in a COVID-19 world is the seclusion and choice to have as little or as much contact as you want. You should feel as safe in your holiday homes as you do in your own home. When it comes to Spain, particularly some of the beaches and islands, private beach villas offer many opportunities.
